3. Korea’s highest rate of workers earning less than minimum wage 33% of local workers earn less than \7,530 per hour

According to a new poll, Jeju has the highest ratio of workers in the country who earn less than the legal minimum wage.

Employment portal site Incruit conducted the survey. 33 percent of Jeju respondents reported earning less than minimum wage this year, despite even gaining regular employment in part-time positions.

The national average is only 22 percent.

The legal minimum wage is 7,530 won per hour. It is going up to 8,350 won next year.

제주가 법정 최저임금도 받지 못한 아르바이트생 비율이 전국에서 가장 높다는 조사결과가 나왔습니다.

취업포털 인크루트가 회원들을 상대로 설문조사한 결과에 따르면

올해 아르바이트 정상근로를 했음에도 최저임금에 미달하는 시급을 받은 경험이 있느냐는 질문에 제주에서는 33%가 그렇다고 응답했습니다.

이같은 응답률은 전국 평균인 22%를 넘는 것으로 전국에서도 가장 높았습니다.

올해 법정 최저임금은 7천 530원으로 내년에는 8천 350원으로 인상됩니다.
