Official ID certificate system to be replaced
Until now, official ID certificates have been considered an obstacle to e-commerce, and will therefore be discontinued 18 years after they were first introduced.
The means of certification will be diversified to include not only fingerprints and iris recognition, but blockchain, as well.

These more convenient certification methods will work with blockchain, which is typically managed by a peer-to-peer network.
The blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions but virtually everything of value.
The blockchain database isn’t stored in any single location, meaning the records it keeps are truly public and easily verifiable. Hosted by millions of computers simultaneously, its data is accessible to anyone on the internet.

We believe the cryptocurrency exchange market is the most important facet of the blockchain system. If we can first get an exchange market here, that will attract other firms and organizations working on blockchain technology. We plan to organize the local ecosystem in that order as quickly as we can.

Specialists say that the island can compete with Switzerland, which itself invites tech firms to increase its tax revenue, if in fact Jeju’s plan is realized.
