2. Busy summer for international flights at Jeju International Airport
64% more flights, 2X as many passengers during high season

There was a significant uptick this summer in the number of passengers on international flights at the local airport.

The Korea Airports Corporation’s special summer squad says there were 721 international flights at Jeju International Airport during the high season of July 25th to August 12th.

That’s 64 percent more than last year’s tally of 439.

The number of passengers on the flights doubled from last year to some 120,000.

올 여름 성수기 제주공항의 국제선 이용객이 크게 늘어났습니다.

지난달 25일부터 지난 12일까지 한국공항공사 여름 성수기 특별교통대책반 운영 현황에 따르면 제주공항은 모두 721편의 국제선을 운항했습니다.

이는 지난해 같은기간 439편이 운항했던 것에 비해 64%가량 증가한 수치입니다.

특히 국제선 여객 수송인원 역시 올해 12만여 명으로 지난해 보다 2배 늘었습니다.
