3. No toxic pesticide found in soil at island golf clubs
Groundwater also tests safe

Researchers say they found relatively safe levels of pesticides at Jeju golf clubs.

The Jeju Institute of Health and Environmental Research tested for pesticide residue at the clubs in the first half of the year. It found no evidence of highly toxic or prohibited chemicals.

Researchers did find the residue of seven types of pesticides that are deemed relatively safe and that are allowed for use on grass.

They did not, however, find any residue in the groundwater at the golf clubs.

도내 골프장 토양 고독성 농약 불검출

도내 골프장들은 비교적 농약으로부터 안전한 것으로 조사됐습니다.

제주특별자치도 보건환경연구원이 올 상반기 도내 골프장의 농약잔류량을 검사한 결과 고독성 농약과 잔디사용금지 농약은 검출되지 않았습니다.

검출된 7종의 농약성분은 모두 잔디에 사용가능한 저독성인 것으로 확인됐습니다.

특히, 골프장 내 지하수에서는 농약성분이 전혀 검출되지 않았습니다.
