5. Higher pension for the disabled
Monthly payment going from ￦209,000 to ￦250,000 next month

The province will next month increase the monthly pension for the disabled from 209,000 won to 250,000.

The increase is due to an amendment to the Pension Act for the Disabled that reflected inflation.

The province had provided 6.98 billion won in such payments to some 52-hundred local residents this year through as of the end of July.

Any disabled resident of the island may apply for the pension through their local community service center at any time of the year.

장애인 연금 내달부터 월 25만원으로 인상

제주특별자치도가 다음달부터 장애인연금을 현재 월 20만 9천원에서 25만원으로 인상 지급합니다.

이같은 인상액은 물가상승률을 반영한 장애인연금법 개정에 따른 것입니다.

제주도는 지난달만 하더라도 5천 200여명에게 69억 8천만원의 장애인연금을 지원했습니다.

장애인연금은 거주지 읍면동주민센터에서 연중 접수하고 있습니다.
