5. Samdo 2-dong, Daejeong-eup ?added to urban renewal project
￦21b in national, local funding over next 4 years

Two additional regions in Jeju have been selected as sites for the Moon Jae-in administration’s urban renewal project.

The national government says it will focus on improving housing in Jeju City’s Samdo 2-dong and general neighborhood improvements in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo.

15 billion won in national funding and 6 billion in local funding will be spent on the project over the next four years.

This is in addition to urban renewal projects already underway in Jeju. (신산머루) Sinsanmeoru in Jeju City and Wolpyeong Village in Seogwipo were chosen in the first round of selections.


삼도2동-대정읍, 도시재생 뉴딜사업 선정

문재인 정부 역점사업인 도시재생 뉴딜사업에 제주지역 2곳이 추가로 선정됐습니다.

정부가 발표한 도시재생 뉴딜사업 선정안에 따르면 제주에서는 제주시 삼도2동이 주거지 지원형, 서귀포시 대정읍은 일반근린형으로 각각 선정됐습니다.

이들 지역에는 앞으로 4년 동안 국비 150억 원, 지방비 60억 원이 투입돼 도시재생 사업이 추진됩니다.

한편 제주에는 현재 제주시 신산머루와 서귀포시 월평마을이 첫 번째 뉴딜사업 대상지로 선정돼 도시재생 사업이 진행되고 있습니다.
