JTO hosting fam tour for group from Korea Fanclub website

Local officials are doing more to attract individual tourists from Thailand.

There is direct flight service between Jeju and the southeast Asian nation.

The provincial government and the Jeju Tourism Organization are hosting a familiarization tour of the island through Sunday for a production team from Korea Fanclub, a Thai website about tourism in Korea.

Fam tour participants are visiting 19 of the most popular places on the island among Thai visitors. The list includes tourist attractions, restaurants, and accommodations.

The JTO is also inviting them to the Korea Culture Tourism Expo in Bangkok on October 6th to participate in more hands-on activities.

제주와 직항 항공편이 운항중인 태국의 개별관광객 유치를 위한 마케팅이 본격 추진됩니다.

제주도와 제주관광공사는 오는 9일까지 한국 관광정보 사이트인 코리아 팬클럽 제작진을 제주로 초청해 팸투어를 진행하고 있습니다.

이들은 체류기간 태국 개별관광객들이 선호하는 관광지와 음식점, 숙박시설 등 19곳을 체험해 소개할 예정입니다.

제주관광공사는 다음달 6일 태국 방콕에서 개최되는 한국문화관광대전에 이들을 초청해 체험 콘텐츠를 직접 소개하도록 할 계획입니다.
