2. Chuseok emergency response center plans released
Dial 1-1-9 for all types of emergency situations

The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters will operate an emergency response center over the Chuseok holidays, from Friday to next Thursday.

The center, which can be reached by dialing 1-1-9, will quickly dispatch fire trucks and ambulances when emergencies arise. It will also provide information about which clinics and hospitals are open over the holidays as well as advise emergency patients about diseases and emergency treatment options.

Emergency responders answered an average of 243 calls a day during last year’s Chuseok holidays. That’s three times as many as on a normal day.

추석 연휴 119 상황실 운영

제주도소방안전본부가 추석연휴를 포함한 21일부터 27일까지 119구급상황관리센터를 운영합니다.

이에 따라 119종합상황실은 기존 소방관서와 119 구조·구급대에 대한 긴급출동 지령을 비롯해 도민들을 대상으로 추석 연휴에 운영하는 병·의원과 응급환자의 질병상담, 응급처치 안내 역할을 맡게 됩니다.

한편 지난해 추석연휴동안 119상황실에 걸려온 상담과 신고건수는 하루 평균 243건으로 평소에 3배까지 급증했습니다.
