1. Local April 3rd committee accepts more claims from victims
National committee will make final decision on 1,300 cases

After a review of their cases, the Jeju April 3rd Incident working committee has decided to ask a national committee to officially recognize over 13-hundred people as either incident victims or their relatives.

The provincial committee held its 159th meeting September 19th. Members accepted claims from 30 victims and 1,299 relatives of victims. These applications were submitted during the third claim filing period.

The national April 3rd Incident Committee will make a final determination on the claims.

4·3 실무위, 희생자·유족 1천 3백여 명 심사

제주 4.3 실무위원회가 희생자와 유족 1천 300여 명을 심사하고 중앙위원회에 인정 여부를 요청하기로 했습니다.

실무위원회는 19일 제 159차 회의를 열고 3차 추가 신고로 접수된 4.3 희생자 30명과 유족 1299명에 대한 심사를 원안 의결했습니다.

희생자와 유족 최종 인정 여부는 4.3 중앙위원회 최종 심의에서 결정될 예정입니다.
