2. Police to question governor about alleged Election Law violations
Won Hee-ryong will likely be summoned later this month or early October

Won Hee-ryong, who just won his second 4-year term as Jeju governor, will soon sit for police questioning as a suspect.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency has asked him to sit for interrogation for alleged Election Law violations.

Police have not announced the exact date on which he will be summoned, but it is likely to be at the end of September or the beginning of October.

Governor Won has now been accused of receiving bribes, including special membership benefits at Biotopia, pre-electioneering, and spreading false information.

원희룡 제주도지사가 현직 지사 신분으로는 8년만에 피의자 신분으로 경찰에 출석해 조사를 받을 예정입니다.
