Per capita GRDP higher in Seogwipo

Jeju City’s gross regional domestic product is double that of Seogwipo.

The provincial government says the island’s GRDP in 2016 was 16.98 trillion won. 69.8 percent of that, or 11.8 trillion won, came from Jeju City. Seogwipo accounted for the remaining 5.1 trillion.

Compared to the previous year, Jeju City’s economic growth rate was 8.3 percent, while that of Seogwipo was 4.9 percent.

On the other hand, Seogwipo’s per capita GRDP was 31 million won, far outstripping Jeju City’s 26 million.


제주시 지역내 총생산, 서귀포 2배

제주시지역의 총생산 규모가 서귀포시보다 2배 가량 많은 것으로 추산됐습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 2016년 기준 지역내 총생산 추계는 16조 9,800억원으로 이 가운데 제주시가 69.8%인 11조 8천억원, 서귀포시가 30.2%인 5조 1천억원으로 나타났습니다.

전년과 비교했을 때 제주시의 경제성장률은 8.3%, 서귀포시는 4.9%로 분석됐습니다.

반면 1인당 지역내 총생산은 서귀포시가 3천100만원으로 제주시 2천600만원 보다 높은 것으로 추계됐습니다.
