4. 8 more autonomous schools named
Designations come with more freedom over curriculum, higher budget

The provincial education office has designated more autonomous schools on the island.

Six elementary schools, including those in Namwon and (도순) Dosun, have been added to the list, as have Jocheon and Hyodon Middle Schools.

There are now 28 autonomous schools on the island.

Institutions designated as such are allowed more leeway to develop their own creative curriculum over a period of four years. Their budget is also increased by over 100 million won, and more administrative staff are assigned to them.

제주형 자율학교 8개교 신규 지정

제주도교육청이 제주형 자율학교를 추가 지정했습니다.

이번에 새롭게 지정된 자율학교는 남원초와 도순초 등 초등학교 6군데와 조천중과 효돈중 등 중학교 2군뎁니다.

현재 모두 28군데 학교가 제주형 자율학교로 운영중입니다.

제주형 자율학교로 지정되면 4년 동안 창의적인 교육과정을 운영하며 1억원 이상의 예산과 교무행정 지원인력이 배치됩니다.
