3. Tamna Culture Festival begins October 10
8,000 people to perform over 5 days

The 57th Jeju Tamna Culture Festival, which is the representative festival of Jeju, will be held for five days from October 10th to October 14th at Tamna Culture Square in Jeju city.

The Tamna festival consists of four categories this year. The festival also offers a variety of performances under the 15 themes with 8,000 performers.

In an effort to maintain the current peaceful atmosphere between North and South Korea after the summit meetings, organizers are planning to show a performance of Peace Halla Art Troupe, demonstrate Pyeongan-do Dari-gut, a kind of shaman ritual, and provide opportunities to explore the five northern Korean provinces’ intangible cultural assets.

Besides, there will be live performances of 20 teams from East Asia including Shanghai, Hainan in China and Hokkaido in Japan.


제57회 제주탐라문화제 10월 10일 개막

제주의 대표 축제인 제57회 탐라문화제가 10월 10일부터 14일까지 제주시 탐라문화광장 일원에서 펼쳐집니다.

이번 행사는 기원축제를 비롯해 문화의길 축제, 문화축제, 참여축제 등 4개 분야에서 15개 테마로 진행되며 도민과 학생 등 8천여명이 출연합니다.

특히 남북 정상회담 등 평화분위기에 발맞춰 평화한라 민족예술단 공연과 평안도 다리굿 시연 등 이북5도의 무형문화재와 공연이 진행됩니다.

이외에도 중국 상하이시와 하이난성, 일본 홋카이도 등 동아시아지역 20개 팀의 공연이 펼쳐질 예정입니다.
