5. Nominations being accepted for 2018 Jeju Culture Awards
Winners in 9 categories will receive prizes in December

The provincial government has begun the search to nominees for the 57th Jeju Special Self-governing Province Culture Prize, which recognizes an individual or an organization with outstanding commitments to and achievements in Jeju culture and arts development.

There are nine categories including academics, arts, education, media and publication, and sports with one nominee in each category.

Local officials will accept nominations for the prize until October 31st.
They will hold an award ceremony in December after reviewing all the nominations.

Since established in 1962, the Jeju Culture Prize has been awarded 56 times to 241 individuals and five groups.



제주도 문화상 9개 부문 후보자 공모

제주도가 향토문화.예술 발전에 기여한 개인 또는 단체에게 수여하는 문화상 후보자를 공개 모집합니다.

모집 대상은 학술과 예술, 교육, 언론.출판, 체육 등 9개 분야이며 부문별로 각 한명씩을 수상자로 선정하게 됩니다.

신청은 10월 31일까지며 심사절차를 거쳐 12월 중 시상식이 개최됩니다.

지난 1962년부터 시행된 제주도 문화상은 56회에 걸쳐 개인 241명과 5개 단체가 선정됐습니다.
