2. Jeju students again earn nation’s top CSAT scores
Highest average scores for 9 straight years

Jeju students were the top ranked pupils in the nation in last year’s College Scholastic Ability Test.

According to a report released Tuesday by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, Jeju had the highest average scores in Korean and math in the CSAT for the 2018 academic year.

The average scaled score on the island for the Korean test was 102.3-4.5 points higher than the national average of 97.8. The average score on both types of the math test also exceeded the national average.

Jeju has now had the highest average CSAT scores in the country for nine years running-since the test for the 2010 academic year.


제주 9년 연속 수능 최상위…국어·수학 강세

지난해 치러진 2018학년도 대학수학능력시험에서도 제주 수험생들의 성적이 전국 최상위를 기록한 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국교육과정평가원이 2일 발표한 2018학년도 수능 성적 분석에 따르면 국어와 수학 영역별 표준점수 평균이 가장 높은 곳은 제주도였습니다.

제주 수험생들의 국어 영역 표준점수 평균은 102.3으로 전체 평균인 97.8점에 비해 4.5점 높았고 수학가,나 영역 역시 전체 평균을 웃돌았습니다.

이로써 제주도는 지난 2010학년도부터 발표한 지역별 수능 표준점수 평균에서
9년 연속 1위를 기록했습니다.
