Superintendent of education extols changes at local high schools

The superintendent of education says improvements at the island’s public high schools are why Jeju students performed the best in the country on the College Scholastic Ability Test.

(이석문) Lee Seok-mun Lee said Thursday that the commitment and effort of area teachers, parents, and the general public were vital to the success of local high school students. They had the highest average scaled scores on the CSAT for the 2018 academic year.

He also said structural reform at area high schools has led to balanced development and an overall higher quality of public education.

이석문 제주도교육감이 최근 제주학생들의 수능 성적이 전국 최상위권으로 나타난데 대해 고교 내실화의 성과라고 평가했습니다.

이 교육감은 4일 도민들께 드리는 인사말을 통해 교사와 학부모, 지역주민들의 헌신과 노력으로 제주학생들의 2018학년도 수능 성적 표준 평균점수가 전국 1위로 나타났다고 밝혔습니다

또 이는 고교체제 개편 등으로 고등학교가 균형있게 발전하고 공교육을 내실화한 성과라고 평가했습니다.
