1. 339 Yemeni asylum seekers granted one-year humanitarian stay permits
34 applications rejected, decisions delayed for another 85

The Ministry of Justice has granted one-year humanitarian stay permits to 339 Yemeni asylum seekers in Jeju.

The Jeju Immigration Service on Wednesday released the results of its second round of assessments of 458 asylum applications. 23 had previously been granted one-year stays.

Authorities denied the right to stay to 34 people, saying they had criminal records or options to stay in a third country. No decisions were made for the remaining 85. Immigration officers say more investigations are needed for their cases.

제주에 와 난민 신청을 한 예멘인 339명에 대한 인도적 체류 허가가 추가로 결정됐습니다.

법무부 제주출입국 외국인청은 17일 제주 예멘 난민 신청자 2차 심사 결과를 발표하고 앞서 인도적 체류 허가를 내준 23명을 제외한 난민신청 예멘인 458명 가운데 339명에 대해 인도적 차원에서 1년간 체류를 허용한다고 밝혔습니다.

또 범죄 경력이 있거나 제 3국가에서 적응이 가능한 34명은 단순 불인정, 추가 조사가 필요한 85명에 대해선 심사 결정을 보류했습니다.
