Jeju City installing systems at area farms

Jeju City is turning to high tech to monitor the foul odors from area farms.

Officials are installing monitors and other equipment at the farms as part of efforts to put a stop to the chronic problem.

The systems will measure in real time the amount of ammonia being emitted from the farms, as well as indoor temperatures and humidity levels. That data will be used to manage the odors.

The city will install the first systems in farms that are the subject of frequent odor complaints, as well as others that are taking part in a regional odor improvement project.

ICT 활용 축산악취 모니터링

정보통신기술을 활용한 축산악취 모니터링 시스템이 도입됩니다.

제주시는 고질적인 축산악취 문제를 해결하기 위해 양돈장을 대상으로 ICT 기계와 장비 설치를 추진하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

이번에 구축되는 시스템은 양돈장 내 암모니아 발생량과 내부 온도, 습도 등을 실시간으로 측정해 악취를 관리하게 됩니다.

제주시는 악취 민원이 잦은 농가와 광역축산악취개선사업 참여 농가에 기계를 우선 설치할 계획입니다.
