3. Autumn colors on Hallasan hit their peak
More than 80% of leaves have turned at higher elevations

Fall foliage is at its peak on Hallasan Mountain.

The Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration says more than 80 percent of the leaves had turned between Eorimok and the summit as of Monday.

That’s similar to when they usually peak, but four days later than last year.

The meteorological administration say people can enjoy the autumn colors through the first part of November.

한라산 단풍 '절정'…내달 초까지 이어져

한라산 단풍이 29일 절정을 이뤘습니다.

제주지방기상청은 관측지점인 어리목 광장부터 한라산 정상까지 80% 이상 단풍이 들면서 단풍 절정을 맞았다고 설명했습니다.

절정 시점은 지난해보다 4일 늦었고 평년과는 비슷한 수준입니다.

기상청은 단풍이 절정을 이뤘지만 다음달 초반까지는 단풍 감상이 가능할 것으로 전망했습니다.
