4. Crackdown on speeding on Pyeonghwa-ro
Average speed of vehicles heading south now being monitored

Authorities are cracking down on speeding vehicles heading from Jeju City to Seogwipo on the Pyeonghwa-ro.

The provincial government has spent 190 million won to install cameras on the road. After a trial run, they will begin ticketing violators in March.

Drivers will be timed on the 15.8-kilometer stretch of the road from (광령) Gwangryeong Intersection to Donggwang 1 Intersection. Authorities will fine motorists whose average speed between those points is over 90 kilometers per hour.


서귀포 방면 평화로 구간단속 실시

제주시에서 서귀포시 방면의 평화로에서 구간 단속이 실시됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 사업비 1억 9천 만원을 투입해 구간단속 카메라를 설치했고
시범 운영기간을 거친 뒤 내년 3월부터 단속한다고 밝혔습니다.

단속 구간은 제주시 광령교차로에서부터 서귀포시 동광1교차로까지 15.8km 입니다.

해당 구간에서 평균 시속 90km를 넘으면 과태료가 부과됩니다.
