Inspecting businesses that have changed locations or payroll details

Jeju City is looking for missing residence tax revenue.

It will inspect businesses with a gross area of over 330 square meters or that pay out more than 135 million won in average salary per month.

The city is looking for cases in which the business sites or salary payments have changed in a way that the firms should be paying more in residence tax.

Officials say any businesses they find that owe more will be required to make payments in January.

제주시가 주민세 누락세원을 일제 조사합니다.

조사 대상은 연면적 330제곱미터를 넘거나 종업원 월평균 급여 총액이 1억 3천500만 원을 넘는 사업장입니다.

이번 조사는 사업장이나 급여지급 현황 등에 변동이 있을 경우 과세대장에 반영하지 않아 부과 대상이 누락된 사례를 찾기 위한 조치입니다.

제주시는 발견된 사업장에 대해 내년 1월에 주민세를 부과할 방침입니다.
