Seogwipo to begin crackdown after university entrance exam

Seogwipo officials say they will be keeping a closer eye on area businesses that are deemed harmful to minors after the November 15th university entrance exam.

Authorities will focus through the end of the year on about 800 bars and entertainment businesses, to ensure they aren’t allowing access or employing minors and that they aren’t engaging in illegal alcohol sales.

Violators will face business suspensions and criminal charges.

서귀포시가 대입 수능이 치러지는 오는 15일 이후부터 연말까지 청소년 유해업소를 집중 관리합니다.

주점이나 유흥업소 등 800곳을 대상으로 청소년을 출입시키거나 고용하는 행위, 주류를 제공하는 행위 등 불법 영업을 단속하게 됩니다.

위반행위가 적발될 경우 영업정지 처분과 함께 사법기관에 고발한다는 방침입니다.
