Net gain of 2,170 new residents in Q3

More people continue to move to the island than leave it, but the difference between those numbers is narrowing.

The Honam Regional Statistics Office says net population inflow in the third quarter this year was 2,170. That’s 600 fewer people than in the second quarter.

Looking at age groups, most of the people moving to the island were in their 30s, while more teenagers left the island than moved here.

There has been a net population inflow in Jeju since the second quarter of 2012.

제주지역으로 유입되는 인구수가 점점 줄고 있습니다.

호남지방통계청에 따르면 올해 3분기 제주지역 순유입 인구는 2천 170명으로
지난 2분기보다 600여 명 감소했습니다.

연령대별로 보면 30대 유입인구가 가장 많았고 10대들은 오히려 빠져나간 인구수가 더 많은 것으로 분석됐습니다.
