2. Cabbage price stabilization program
Province will cover up to 90% of difference if price falls below target

The provincial government is implementing a cabbage price stabilization policy on a trial basis.

The target price has been set at 314 won per kilogram. If the average price of the local vegetable falls below that at Seoul’s Garak Market, the province will cover up to 90 percent of the difference.

This program is open to cabbage farms on the island, farms or agricultural corporations that supply through Nonghyup, and farmers who agreed to a checkoff program. They can apply through the end of the month.

Cabbage is the second local crop to be included in this program?carrots were the first. Local officials say they plan to expand it in line with the governor’s pledge to include other farm products.


양배추 가격안정관리제도 시범 시행

제주도가 제주산 양배추에 대한 가격안정관리제도를 시범 추진합니다.

이 사업은 양배추 목표관리 기준가격인 10kg망당 3천 140원보다 서울 가락시장 평균 경락가격이 하락할 경우 차액의 90%까지 보전해주게 됩니다.

도내 양배추 농가나 농협에 계통출하하는 농가 또는 법인, 양배추 자조금 조성사업에 동의한 농가면 오는 30일까지 신청할 수 있습니다.

양배추는 지난해 당근 시범사업에 이어 두 번째 대상 품목에 지정됐으며 제주도는 도지사 공약에 따라 다른 품목으로도 확대해 나갈 계획입니다.
