Council asks Moon Jae-in and Kim Jong-un to visit Jeju

The provincial council has officially requested that President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visit Hallasan Mountain.

All 38 council members who were in attendance Wednesday during the 366th plenary session of the body voted for a resolution to that effect.

Council member Gang Seong-min submitted the proposal, which also includes support for the 4th inter-Korean summit. The resolution will be sent to the Blue House, the National Assembly, and the Prime Minister’s Office.


'남북 정상 한라산 방문 요청' 결의안 채택

제주도의회가 문재인 대통령과 김정일 북한 국무위원장의 한라산 방문을 공식 요청하는 결의안을 채택했습니다.

도의회는 21일 제366회 정례회 본회의에서 '한라산 방문 요청 결의안'을 상정해
재석의원 38명 만장일치로 통과시켰습니다.

강성민 의원이 대표 발의한 결의안에는 제4차 남북정상회담 개최에 대한 지지와 함께 남북 정상이 한라산을 방문해줄 것을 요청하는 내용이 담겼습니다.

도의회는 이 결의안을 청와대와 국회, 국무총리실 등에 발송할 예정입니다.
