Authorities to review evacuation plans at schools, facilities for disabled

There will be a major island-wide fire drill at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The civil defense training will include the simulation of a fire outbreak. At the same time, emergency alarms and/or broadcasts will be activated in each building for 20 minutes.

Authorities will review the evacuation plans at schools, facilities for the disabled, and other places deemed particularly vulnerable to fires.
Finally, they are encouraging large retailers, cinemas, and other multi-use facilities to take part in the drill.

화재 대피 민방위 훈련, 27일 오후 2시 실시

화재대피 민방위 훈련이 오는 27일 오후 2시부터 제주도 일원에서 실시됩니다.

이번 민방위 훈련은 화재발생을 가상해 상황 전파와 동시에 각 건물에서 화재 비상벨을 울리거나 건물 내 방송을 통해 20분간 진행됩니다.

특히 학교와 장애인 시설 등 화재 취약계층 이용시설에 대한 대피계획을 점검하고 대형마트와 영화관 등 다중이용시설에 대해서도 대피훈련에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 유도할 예정입니다.
