1. Meteorologists release winter forecast
‘Average temperatures with a few cold spells’

Weather officials say temperatures will hover around average this winter, but that we will face a few cold spells.

The Korea Meteorological Administration says conditions will seesaw as they are affected by El Nino, which will make it warmer, and the thawing of Arctic ice, which will make it colder.

Forecasters say continental and migratory high pressure systems will cause the mercury to drop significantly at different times in December.

Average rainfall is 27 to 61 millimeters, and meteorologists say to expect about that much, or a little less.

올 겨울 제주는 평년과 비슷한 기온을 보이겟지만 몇 차례 강추위가 찾아올 전망입니다.

제주지방기상청은 올 겨울 엘니뇨에 의한 기온 상승과 북극 해빙에 의한 기온 하강 요인이 반복될 것이라며 겨울철 기상전망을 내놓았습니다.

특히 다음달에는 다음달 대륙고기압과 이동성 고기압의 영향을 주기적으로 받으며
기온이 큰 폭으로 떨어지는 때가 있겠습니다.

평균 강수량은 평년인 27~61mm와 비슷하거나 다소 적을 것으로 예측했습니다.
