Yang Zhihui was arrested in August

The chairman of Jeju Shinhwa World, who was reportedly arrested by Chinese authorities in August, is now back at work.

According to Landing Jeju Development, which is a subsidiary of Landing International, (양지혜) Yang Zhihui recently returned to his duties as chairman of the board at the company’s main office in Hong Kong.

He had been out of contact since his August arrest at the airport in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for financial corruption.

His return gave a big boost to Landing International’s stock price on the Hong Kong exchange.

제주신화월드 양지혜 회장 업무 복귀

지난 8월 캄보디아에서 중국 공안당국에 체포된 것으로 알려졌던 제주신화월드 양지혜 회장이 업무에 복귀한 것으로 확인됐습니다.

란딩인터내셔널 산하 람정제주개발 등에 따르면
최근 양 회장이 홍콩 본사에 출근해 이사회 의장직을 수행하고 있다고
밝혔습니다.

지난 8월 23일 캄포디아 프놈펜 공항에서 금융 부패 사건으로
중국 공안 당국에 체포된 양 회장은 연행된 후부터 연락이 두절된 상태였습니다.

한편 양회장의 업무 복귀로 란딩 인터내셔널의 홍콩 거래 주가가
한때 급등세를 보이기도 했습니다.
