4. Jeju City authorities uncover 23 shops selling imitations
102 knockoffs included earrings, necklaces, wallets

Jeju City has been cracking down on sales of knockoffs in major shopping areas, and it has found 102 fake products in 23 stores.

More than half of the imitation goods were earrings, necklaces, and other accessories. Next most numerous were wallets and phone cases.

City officials ordered the businesses to take corrective action, and they will criminally charge them if they are caught again.

Authorities uncovered 53 knockoffs in 7 shops in the first half of this year.

위조상품 '짝퉁' 판매 업소 무더기 적발

제주시가 최근 상가 밀집지역을 중심으로 일명 '짝퉁' 판매 단속을 벌여 23개 업소에서 위조상품 102점을 적발했습니다.

적발된 물품은 귀걸이와 목걸이 등 악세서리가 절반을 차지했고 이어 지갑과 폰케이스 순으로 많았습니다.

제주시는 위반업체에 시정권고하고 다시 적발되면 형사 고발할 방침입니다.

제주시는 올 상반기에 7개 업체에서 53점의 위조상품을 적발한 바 있습니다.
