5. More support for installation of EV quick chargers
Korea Energy Agency, province offering combined support of up to ￦30m

Authorities are expanding their support next year for electric car chargers.

The provincial government says it has signed an agreement on developing private-sector charging facilities with six institutes, including the Korea Energy Agency and private-sector companies.

The KEA will offer up to 20 million won in support for every new quick-charger that is installed. The province will add up to another 10 million won in support for chargers set up at apartment houses, gas stations, tourist attractions, accommodations, and other locations.

Private-sector companies will be contracted to install, operate, and maintain the stations for at least two years.

The province plans to work with the KEA to set up 40 quick-chargers on the island next year.

내년에 전기차 충전서비스가 확대됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 한국에너지공단, 민간충전사업자 등 6개 기관과 민간 충전서비스 사업 육성을 위한 업무협약을 체결 했다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 한국에너지공단은 급속충전기 1기당 최대 2천만원을, 제주도는 공동주택이나 편의시설, 주유소, 관광지에 설치할 경우 최대 1천만원까지 추가 지원하기로 했습니다.

또 민간충전사업자는 최소 2년간 충전시설에 대한 설치와 운영관리를 담당하게 됩니다.

제주도는 한국에너지공단과 함께 내년에 급속충전기 40기를 설치한다는 계획입니다.
