3. Expansion of earthquake and tsunami warning system
Province spending ￦240m to equip all surrounding islets

Udo and Upper Chujado are currently equipped with an earthquake and tsunami warning system, and that coverage will be expanded to all of the other islets around Jeju.

The provincial government will spend 240 million won to install the system on Lower Chujado, Biyangdo, Marado, and Gapado.

Local officials say the expanded system will allow for the rapid dissemination of emergency information should a disaster strike.

도서지역 지진·해일 경보시스템 구축

현재 우도와 상추자도에 갖춰진 지진, 해일 경보시스템이 도서지역 전체로 확대됩니다.

제주도는 사업비 2억 4천만 원을 투입해 연말까지 하추자도와 비양도, 마라도, 가파도에 지진해일 경보시스템을 구축한다고 밝혔습니다.

모든 도서지역에 경보시스템이 갖춰지면서 신속한 재난 정보 제공과 상황 전파가 가능할 것으로 제주도는 기대하고 있습니다.
