4. 2 firms to relocate to Jeju by 2021
A third will build a new plant here next year

Provincial officials on Tuesday signed investment agreements with three companies.

According to the agreement, the ITM (유이화) Yu Lee-hwa Architectural Firm and the software development company Emgram will relocate to Jeju from the capital area in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Officials say the moves will create 150 local jobs.

The other company is a meat processor and packager. Daehan Meat Distribution plans to build an eco-friendly plant in Jeju next year and hire 20 people.

수도권 기업 2곳 2021년까지 제주 이전

제주도는 4일 제주도청에서 수도권 제주 이전 희망 기업 2곳과 도내 신설투자 기업 1곳 등 모두 3곳과 제주투자 협약을 체결했습니다.

협약에 따라 수도권에 연고를 두고 있는 소프트웨어 개발업체 엠그램과
ITM 유이화 건축사무소는 각각 오는 2021년과 2020년까지 본사를 제주로 이전합니다.

이들 기업의 이전이 완료되면 150여 명의 고용이 이뤄질 예정입니다.

이와 함께 육류포장과 가공업을 하는 대한축산유통도 내년까지 제주에 친환경 공장을 건립하고 20명을 고용한다는 계획입니다.
