5. Province invests in more snow removal equipment
4 new plow trucks, high-tech automated road clearing system

The provincial government has invested in more snow removal equipment as part of preparations for this winter.

It purchased four plow trucks and it installed salt water storage tanks in eight rural areas, giving the residents in them the ability to remove snow snow and ice on their own.

Local officials will also operate a supply base for snow removal equipment and related items in Yongdam-dong, Jeju City.

Finally, the province is trialling a system of high-pressure salt water solution sprayers along the side of the airport road to prevent it from freezing over. It plans to install similar systems along (첨단로) Cheomdan-ro and in Yerae-dong, Seogwipo.

제주도, 폭설 대비 제설장비 확충

제주도가 올 겨울 폭설에 대비해 제설장비를 대폭 확충했습니다.

주요내용을 보면 제설차량 4대를 새롭게 구입했고, 읍면동 8개 지역에도 자체 제설이 가능한 염수저장탱크를 설치했습니다.

또 제주시 용담동에 제설장비와 제설용품을 지원하는 제설전진기도 운영됩니다.

제주도는 제주공항로에 초기 제설 장비인 자동염수분사장치 시범 설치했고 첨단로와 서귀포시 예래동에서 시설을 확대할 계획입니다.
