Lee Ro-un, Han Guk-hyeon enrolled in Leisure Sports Department

Two students from Jeju International University have been named to the Korean national taekwondo team for the disabled.

University officials say (이로운) Lee Ro-un and (한국현) Han Guk-hyeon from the Leisure Sports Department have made the cut in the hearing impaired and physically disabled categories, respectively. Both came in first in the men’s individual events at national team tryouts at the World Taekwondo Headquarters on November 28th.

(한국현) Han Guk-hyeon was the first person to be named to the taekwondo national squad, and he has now represented the country on the international stage for five consecutive years.

Both he and (이로운) Lee Ro-un will take part in international competitions next year as part of the Korean taekwondo team for disabled athletes.

제주국제대, 장애인 태권도 국가대표 2명 배출

제주국제대학교가 장애인 태권도 국가대표 선수 2명을 배출했습니다.

제주국제대에 따르면 레저스포츠학과 이로운 군과 한국현 군이 지난달 28일 국기원에서 열린 장애인 태권도 국가대표 선발대회에서 각각 남자 개인전 청각 부문과 지체 부분에서 1위를 차지했습니다.

특히 장애인태권도 선수 1호인 한국현 군은 5년 연속 국가대표에 이름을 올렸습니다.

이들은 내년도 우리나라 장애인 태권도 국가대표로 각종 국제대회에 참가하게 됩니다.
