3. Foreign nationals caught illegally working at 2 construction sites
Violations result in fines and employment restrictions for firms involved

Authorities say foreign nationals were working illegally at two area construction sites.

Provincial officials allege that the people in charge of the work at the sites hired a total of nine Chinese workers without first receiving employment permits for them.

The provincial government has fined the companies responsible at both sites four million won each for the violations and it has also restricted their hiring of foreign laborers for the next three years.

외국인 불법고용 건설사업장 적발

사전 허가 없이 외국인근로자를 채용한 건설사업장 두 곳이 당국에 적발됐습니다.

제주도에 따르면 해당 사업장들은 고용센터에 사전 고용허가를 받지 않고 중국인 근로자 9명을 불법 채용한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

제주도는 해당 사업장에 3년간 외국인근로자 고용 제한과 과태료 4백만 원씩을 부과했습니다.
