Jeju City hiring 144 university students, Seogwipo looking for 95

An average of 6.4 university students have applied for every winter part-time position at the island’s municipal administrations.

Jeju City is hiring 144 people and 1,133 applied, working out to 7.8 applicants per position. Seogwipo is looking for 95 university students and 481 applied. That’s 5 applicants per job.

Both cities gave priority to students from the low-income bracket. The remaining workers were selected Wednesday through a random draw.

Officials will release the names of those chosen on Friday

제주시와 서귀포시가 동계 대학생 아르바이트를 모집한 결과 6.4대 1의 평균 경쟁률을 기록했습니다.

제주시의 경우 144명 모집에 1천 133명이 신청해 7.8대 1의, 서귀포시는
95명 모집에 481명으로 5대 1의 경쟁률을 기록했습니다.

양 행정시는 신청자 가운데 저소득층 위주로 우선 선발하고 나머지 신청자에 대해서는 19일 추첨을 통해 결정했습니다.
