4. Democratic Party forms special committee for Jeju development
Oh Young-hun chairs 28-member group

The Democratic Party of Korea has formed a special committee for Jeju development at the National Assembly.

The 28-member group will discuss major Jeju issues, including the revision of Jeju Special Law.

Lawmaker (오영훈) Oh Young-hun will chair the committee, which comprises 16 active National Assembly members and 12 consultants.

It will set the direction for changes to the Jeju Special Law as well as work on and begin the legislative process for an administrative reform plan and a government decentralization model tailored to Jeju.

더민주 제주발전 특별위원회 출범

제주특별법 개정을 비롯한 제주 주요 현안을 논의할 더불어민주당 제주발전 특별위원회가 국회에서 출범했습니다.

위원회는 오영훈 국회의원이 위원장을 맡았고 현역 의원 16명과 자문위원 12명 등 총 28명으로 구성됐습니다.

앞으로 제주특별법 개정 방향을 설정하고 행정체제 개편안과 제주형 자치분권 모델 등을 마련해 입법 과정까지 추진할 계획입니다.
