More islanders aged 7-18 getting sick

Medical officials are urging caution because of the soaring number of locals coming down with the flu.

The provincial government says the number of outpatients infected with the influenza virus grew from 13 per 1,000 local residents in November to 50 per thousand within just one month.

The occurrence rate is increasing in people aged between seven and eighteen.

Local officials are asking everyone to pay closer attention to personal hygiene. They are also urging anyone who’s temperature surpasses 38 degrees to seek medical treatment.

최근 인플루엔자 환자 수가 증가하고 있어 예방에 주의가 요구됩니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 인구 1천명당 인플루엔자 외래 환자 수가 지난 달 13명에서 한달 만에 50명에 육박하고 있습니다.

특히 7살부터 18살까지 유아 청소년 환자 발생비율이 높아지고 있습니다.

제주도는 개인 위생이 신경쓰는 한편 체온이 38도가 넘으면 병원 진료를 당부했습니다.
