4. Korea Foundation to help maintain Jeju Olle trails

The Korea Foundation has begun giving financial support to the Jeju Olle Foundation to help maintain the island’s walking trail network.

The Korea Foundation, which has relocated to the Jeju Innovation City, will donate five million won annually for the next three years to the trail foundation. The money will be collected in donations from its employees and used to install signs and maintain the paths.

This is one of the Korea Foundation’s projects aimed at boosting local development. It comes after it launched a campaign to clean up the environment around Jeju Olle Trail 7 in September.

한국국제교류재단, 올레길 유지보수 지원

제주 혁신도시로 이전한 한국국제교류재단이 최근 사단법인 제주올레에 올레길 유지 보수를 위한 기부금 전달을 시작으로 정기적인 지원에 나섭니다.

국제교류재단은 임직원이 자발적으로 마련하는 나눔펀드를 활용해 앞으로 3년 동안 매년 500만 원씩 기부하고 올레길 안내표시 부착과 보수작업을 지원할 예정입니다.

이번 기부금 지원은 지역상생 기여를 위한 사업으로 앞서 지난 9월에는 올레7코스에서 환경정화 캠페인을 전개한 바 있습니다.
