Technician given 60 day suspension and airport fined 210 million won

A maintenance technician, working at Jeju Air, has been suspended for being drunk while on duty.

The technician was caught drunk at the Jeju Airport on November 11 after registering a blood alcohol content level of 0.034 percent during a sobriety test. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport issued the suspension for 60 days and fined the Jeju Air 210 million won.

The Jeju Air has been fined 300 million won for the accident at the parking ramp happened in May.

술을 마신 상태에서 항공업무를 하려다 적발된 제주항공 소속 정비사가 60일의 자격정지 처분을 받았습니다.

국토교통부는 지난 달 11일 제주공항에서 음주 측정 결과 혈중알코올농도 0.034%로 적발된 제주항공 정비사에게 자격정지 60일 처분을 내리고 제주항공에는 과징금 2억 1천만 원을 부과했다고 밝혔습니다.

또 지난 5월 제주공항 주기장에서 발생한 항공기 바퀴 손상 사고 책임을 물어 제주항공에 과징금 3억 원을 부과했습니다.
