5. JDC seeking new chairman
New Chairman will be appointed by the land ministry

Jeju Free International City Development Center is seeking its new chairman.

The JDC said it started procedures to hire and will last until January 11th.

The procedure will begin with recommendations for the position made by a committee, and then will go through deliberation by the government’s public institution management committee. The land ministry will appoint a successful candidate for the position.

Currently, JDC has maintained an acting chairman system for the past six months, since the former chairman, Lee Gwang-hee, resigned in July.

제주국제자유도시개발센터 신임 이사장 공모가 시작됐습니다.

JDC는 28일부터 1월 11일까지 보름 동안 신임 이사장 선임을 위한 공모에 들어갔다고 밝혔습니다.

임원추천위원회가 공모를 통해 후보를 추천하면 정부 공공기관운영위원회 심사를 거쳐 국토부 장관이 최종 임명합니다.

현재 JDC는 이광희 전 이사장이 지난 7월 사임한 이후 6개월째 직무대행 체제를 유지하고 있습니다.
