3. More cameras in Jeju City monitoring for illegal parking
103 added in 2018, more planned in 2019

Jeju City is using more surveillance cameras to crack down on illegal parking and stopping.

Officials say they have finished upgrades to the monitoring system for drivers who park and stop their vehicles illegally. The city added 103 fixed cameras in 2018 as well as overhauling the cameras that are installed on municipal buses.

There are now 210 CCTV cameras in the city to focus on these types of violations.

Jeju City will continue studying the problem through March to identify areas that need more cameras, and then have them installed by June.

제주시가 불법 주정차 단속을 위해 CCTV 설치를 지속적으로 확대합니다.

제주시는 올해 고정식 CCTV 103대를 추가 설치하고 버스탑재형 CCTV를 전면 정비하는 등 주정차 단속 인프라 확충을 마무리했다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 제주시 지역에 설치된 주정차 단속용 CCTV는 210여 대로 늘었습니다.

제주시는 지속적인 인프라 확충을 위해 올해 3월까지 수요지 전수조사를 실시해
6월까지 설치 공사를 마무리 할 예정입니다.
