2. Consumer prices climb 1.1% YOY in December
Agricultural, seafood products were 6% more expensive last month

Consumers in Jeju are paying more for goods and services.

The Jeju branch of the Honam Regional Statistics Office says the consumer price index in Jeju last month was 1.1 percent higher than it was a year before.

Prices for agricultural and seafood products rose 6 percent. Industrial goods, such as snacks and kerosene, were also more expensive.

Consumer prices in most sectors, except for communications and public health, increased 1.7 percent over the period.


12월 제주 소비자 물가 1.1% 상승

호남지방통계청에 따르면 12월 제주도 소비자 물가 지수는 지난해 같은 기간에 비해 1.1% 상승했습니다.

품목별로 보면 쌀과 쇠고기 등 농축수산물이 6%, 과자와 등유 등 일부 공업제품 가격도 상승했습니다.

한편 올 하해동안 제주지역의 소비자물가는 통신과 보건을 제외한 대부분의 부문에서 오르며 1.7% 상승률을 기록한 것으로 나타났습니다.
