3. Reservations will be needed to summit Hallasan
New system will be trialled in second half of year

Officials will test a reservation system this year for hikers who want to climb to the top of Hallasan Mountain.

Hallasan National Park Office representatives say they will set up the system and begin using it on a trial basis in the second half of the year. Hikers will at that point need to make a reservation to go to the summit, if they plan on using the Gwaneumsa Samgakbong Trail or the Seongpanak Azalea Field Trail.

Roughly one million hikers visit the mountain a year. About 30 percent of them climb to the to the top.


한라산 정상 탐방예약제 시범 도입

올해부터 한라산 정상 탐방예약제가 시범 시행됩니다.

한라산국립공원사무소는 올해 상반기 탐방예약제 시스템을 구축한 뒤 하반기부터
한라산 정상 등반 사전 예약제를 시범 도입한다고 밝혔습니다.

탐방 예약 구간은 정상으로 이어지는 관음사 삼각봉 대피소와 성판악 진달래밭 코스입니다.

한해 한라산 탐방객은 약 100만 명으로 이 가운데 30% 인 30만 명 정도가 정상을 찾고 있습니다.
