Governor outlines plans for 2019

The governor says his administration will focus on stabilizing the economy and creating more jobs this year.

During a Wednesday kick-off meeting for the year at the Provincial Office, Won Hee-ryong also said the province would draw up detailed plans for limiting the use of the island’s natural resources and for supporting industries that are seen as future growth engines.

Regarding the island’s second airport, for which a feasibility study is almost finished, the governor said he would do his utmost this year to ensure national projects proceed smoothly.

원희룡 제주도지사가 올해 역점 사업으로 민생 경제 안정과 고용 확대를 꼽았습니다.

원 지사는 2일 오전, 도청에서 열린 시무식에서 민생경제 안정과 일자리 창출에 최우선 순위로 두고 도정을 운영하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

이와 함게 환경자원 총량제 도입과 미래성장동력 육성을 위한 세부 실천 계획도 수립하겠다고 덧붙혔습니다.

제2공항 사업은 입지타당성 검증용역 마무리되는 만큼, 올해는 국책사업이 차질 없이 진행되도록 노력하겠다고 강조했습니다.
