3. 10,000 tons of water from Jeoji reservoir used to supply Hallim
Part of efforts to ease public concerns over water quality

The provincial water and sewer authority says it now supplying Hallim with 10,000 tons of water from the Jeoji reservoir as part of the 20,000 tons of water it gets from the Ongpo Basin, which is the existing water source.

Officials say this part of efforts to remove public distrust in the quality of the water.

The water office has been piping the 20,000 tons of water from the Ongpo Basin through an advanced treatment system and a rapid filtering facility. The concentration of nitrate nitrogen, however, has remained high.

The water and sewer authority plans to develop 10 underground wells and finish pipe construction by next year in the Seogwang area. The water from those wells will replace the 10,000 tons of water that passes through the advanced treatment facilities at the Hallim filtration plant.


저지 수원지서 1만톤 '한림' 지역에 공급

제주도 상하수도본부가 한림지역 상수원에 대한 수질 불신을 해소하기 위해
기존 상수원인 옹포수원지 취수량 2만 톤 가운데 1만톤을 인근 저지광역저수지에서 공급받아 급수하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

지금까지 옹포천에서 취수한 2만톤을 고도처리시설과 급속여과시설에서 1만톤씩을 처리해 공급해 왔으나 여전히 질산성 질소 농도가 높아 이같은 조치를 내렸다고 덧붙였습니다.

상하수도본부는 한림정수장의 고도처리시설 1만톤을 대체하기 위해 서광지역에
대체 지하수 10공을 개발하고 내년까지 관로공사를 마무리할 계획입니다.
