3. Jeju City seeks to rein in official land prices
High appraisals are disqualifying landowners from social welfare benefits

An increasing number of people are becoming ineligible for basic pension payments because real estate prices have risen so much, so Jeju City is asking national authorities to adjust official appraisal values.

Municipal authorities say city land prices have climbed enough to disqualify some landowners from receiving social welfare benefits. Local officials have asked the land ministry and the Korea Appraisal Board to adjust the growth in official land values to less than 10 percent.

The appraised value of a standard lot in Jeju increased 19 percent in 2016, 18 percent in 2017, and 15 percent last year.



제주시, 공시지가 상승률 조정 건의

부동산 가격 상승으로 기초연금 수급탈락자가 크게 늘면서 제주시가 공시지가 상승률을 조정해줄 것을 요구하고 있습니다.

제주시는 땅 값 상승으로 소득인정액이 초과돼 사회복지혜택 탈락 등 피해가 발생하는 것으로 보고 국토교통부와 한국감정원에 표준지 공시지가 상승률을
10% 이내로 조정해 줄 것을 건의했습니다.

개별공시지가 기준이 되는 표준지 공시지가는 제주시지역에서 2016년 19%,
2017년 18%, 지난해 15%의 상승률을 보인 바 있습니다.
