3. More trash pick-ups in Jeju City
City releases schedule for moving season, upcoming holidays

Jeju City is increasing trash pick-ups for the traditional “Singugan” moving season and the Lunar New Year holidays.

The goal during Singugan is to pick up all waste the day that it is thrown out. To reach that goal, it will add two additional vehicles to the existing fleet tasked with picking up large items.

The city will collect garbage earlier than usual on Lunar New Year’s Day, but will stick to its regular schedule on the other holidays.

The Jeju City administration also plans to operate a mobile team and a specialized response office to handle garbage collection over the period.

신구간·설 연휴, 쓰레기 수거차량 증편

제주시가 이사철인 신구간과 설 연휴 기간에 생활쓰레기 처리 대책을 시행합니다.

신구간에 발생한 쓰레기는 당일 전량 수거를 목표로 기존 수거차량 외에
대형폐기물 수거차량을 2대 늘려 운행합니다.

설 연휴 기간 중 설 당일에는 조기 수거하고 설날을 제외한 휴일에는 정상 처리할 방침입니다.

제주시는 이와함께 기동반과 상황실을 운영해 생활쓰레기를 수시로 처리한다는 계획입니다.
