1. 21,000 Chinese visitors expected over holidays
60% more than last year

Jeju is projected to welcome some 21,000 Chinese tourists over the ten-day Chinese Lunar New Year holidays that begin February first.

That’s 60 percent more than the number of travelers during the same period last year.

19,000 tourists are expected from mainland China, 18-hundred from Taiwan, and 600 from Hong Kong.

Compared to last year, the local airport will handle 77 percent more international flights over those ten days.

춘절연휴 중화권 관광객 2만1천명 입도

다음달 1일부터 10일간 이어지는 중국 춘절연휴 기간에 제주를 찾는 중화권 관광객은 2만 1천에 이를 전망입니다.

이같은 관광객수는 지난해 같은 기간보다 60% 증가한 규모입니다.

이 가운데 중국이 1만9천여 명으로 가장 많고 대만 1천 800명, 홍콩 600여 명입니다.

이 기간 제주공항 국제선 운항편수도 전년대비 77% 증가했습니다.
