5. Jeju Air awarded for job creation efforts
660 new jobs in 2017, 770 last year

The presidential employment committee has presented Jeju Air with a 2018 Korea Employment Commendation.

The airline was praised for its efforts to create jobs for young workers as well as for its establishment of workplace standards for disabled employees in its subsidiaries. They were the first standards of their kind in the aviation industry.

Jeju Air has been adding more routes to its schedule and more planes to its fleet in recent years. That prompted it to hire some 660 new employees in 2017 and 770 last year.

제주항공이 대통령 직속 일자리위원회가 수여하는 2018년도 대한민국 일자리 유공 표창을 받았습니다.

제주항공은 청년 일자리 창출과 업계에서는 처음으로 자회사형 장애인표준사업장 설립을 통해 취약계층 일자리 창출해 높은 평가를 받았습니다.

제주항공 신규 채용 규모는 운항노선 확장과 기단 확대로 지난 2017년 660여 명, 지난해 770여 명 등 지속적으로 늘고 있습니다.
